Rachel Canning loses effort to sue parents for high school tuition.
I thing this story is absolutely positively ridiculous and apparently the judge did also.
A New Jersey family court judge ruled today that Rachel Canning’s parents do not have to pay her high school tuition after she sued them to cover her schooling and living costs after she moved out of their home because she did not want to follow the house rules.
The judge delayed a ruling on whether the parents must pay the 18-year-old student’s college tuition while asking lawyers to consider whether it’s wise to “establish precedent where parents live in fear of establishing rules of the house?” The judge also denied her request for weekly allowance and additional financial support including attorney fees.
This young lady seems to be a spoiled brat and I applaud her parents for standing their ground! My parents always told me “if you can’t follow the house rules then leave” so I followed them until I could take care of myself and move out. I wasn’t a saint but there were limits and I respected those limits. A New Jersey family court judge ruled that Rachel Canning’s parents do not have to pay her high school tuition after she sued them to cover her schooling and living costs.
Rachel choose to leave instead following their rules and now she expects for them to keep paying her private school and college tuition along with a weekly allowance. She is out of her mind! I really hope the judge denies the enter lawsuit because if he does not this could open up a can of worms and hinder parents from setting rules for their children. If you want to act grown then you play the part and take care of yourself; sweetie pie! You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Either you are a dependent or your an adult. Clearly you are not about that #GrownUpLife so take your ass home and follow the rules until you can take care of yourself then you can do you.
